Directions to DDRC
Established in 1997 by Chan Master Sheng Yen, the retreat center is
located about two hours northwest of New York City in the valley of the
Shawangunk Mountains near Pine Bush, New York. The campus encompasses
120 acres of shaded woods and open meadows, and a beautiful 6-acre lake
with a creek running through it. The meadows, woods, and lake maintain
a diversity of wildlife. The facilities of DDRC have evolved through
gradual renovations over the years. The retreat center comprises the
Chan Hall, dining hall, dormitories, reception center, monastic
residence, master's residence, and cabins. Many DDYP retreats and
programs will be held here.
