Ven. Guo Jun

Venerable Guo Jun, a Dharma heir of Chan Master Sheng Yen, was ordained in Singapore in 1997. He has a degree in Buddhist Philosophy from the renowned Fuyan Buddhist Institute in Taiwan and a degree in psychology and sociology from Monash University in Australia. Venerable Guo Jun has also studied meditation practices with masters of Tibetan, Burmese, Thai, Korean and Chinese Pure Land traditions. To date, he has traveled extensively, giving lectures on Buddhism, conducting workshops, camps and retreats to a wide variety of students. He received Dharma transmission from Chan Master Sheng Yen in September 2005 and he has begun to lead retreats at Dharma Drum Retreat Center in Pinebush, NY.

Ven. Guo Chian

Venerable Guo Chian is a senior teacher of meditation practice and Buddhist teachings at the Chan Meditation Center where she currently gives regular Sunday talks. She has practiced under the guidance of Master Sheng Yen and received her full ordination in 1996. She has led many Chan retreats and travels throughout the United States to spread the Dharma.

Ven. Chang Wu

Venerable Chang Wu received full ordination in 2003 under Master Sheng Yen at DDMBA in Taiwan. She is currently a resident of the Chan Meditation Center in Elmhurst, New York. She is the Program Coordinator of Dharma Drum for Young People. Venerable Chang Wu teaches beginning meditation classes and conducts one-day retreats, and she is involved in community outreach by teaching meditation to interfaith groups.
